Privacy Policy

CherryBrew is an Android app from MarcoPolo (LuciCo LLC) that strips algorithmic feeds — Reels, Shorts, recommendations — from Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Reddit, and TikTok by rendering them inside an in-app WebView with filtering injected on top.

This page explains what data CherryBrew collects, what it doesn't, and how to reach a human if you want something removed.

What CherryBrew collects

CherryBrew uses a first-party account for access restoration and family sharing. The account may use Google or existing email/password credentials. The app also uses separate Firebase services for diagnostics and usage measurement.

CherryBrew account and family data

When you sign in to a CherryBrew account, our account service (Supabase, operated for NeoMarcoPolo) stores the account's user ID, email address, authentication credentials, and provider profile metadata such as your name or profile image URL. It also stores entitlement and purchase-verification records needed to restore access, plus family memberships and invitations when you use family sharing. Google Play processes payments; CherryBrew receives verification and entitlement records, not your card details.

Firebase Crashlytics

If CherryBrew crashes or hangs (ANR), Crashlytics sends Google a stack trace plus device model, Android version, and an installation ID. We use this to fix bugs. It does not include the contents of pages you viewed, accounts you were signed into, or anything you typed.

Firebase Analytics

Records usage events such as screen opens, session length, app-version upgrades, country and language from device locale. Firebase Analytics can derive an approximate region from a masked IP address; it does not receive GPS or precise location. We use this to understand feature use. Firebase diagnostics and usage records are separate from the first-party CherryBrew account records above.

App Guard usage identifiers

If you opt in to App Guard and it fires for a supported app, Firebase diagnostics may receive the supported app's package name with the event. This is a limited usage identifier for supported-app events, not an inventory of every app installed on your device.

Firebase Remote Config

Pulls feature-flag values from Google so we can turn things on or off without shipping a new build. CherryBrew does not send your data back through this channel — it's read-only configuration.

What CherryBrew does not collect

• CherryBrew does not read or store the passwords for your Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Reddit, or TikTok accounts. Those credentials and activity remain with the services you connect to.
• No GPS or precise location data. Firebase Analytics may derive an approximate region from a masked IP address, as described above.
• No contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera access.
• No transmission of posts, messages, or page content to our account or analytics services. Filtering happens locally in the WebView.
• No keystrokes, clipboard contents, or browsing history.
• No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad SDKs. CherryBrew shows no ads.

Data that stays on your device

App preferences and WebView cookies/session storage live in CherryBrew's private app storage on your phone. They support channel settings and keeping you signed in to the social services you choose. They are separate from the first-party CherryBrew account records and Firebase diagnostics described above.

• Your preferences — channel order, quiet hours, grayscale toggle, daily baseline target.
• Earned-consequence state — the local progress data the timer metaphor reads from.
• WebView cookies and session storage for Instagram / YouTube / Facebook / X / Reddit / TikTok. These let those sites remember you're signed in. They live in CherryBrew's sandbox, not in the rest of your phone.

Uninstalling CherryBrew removes local preferences, cookies, and session storage from the device. It does not by itself delete a first-party CherryBrew account or Google Play subscription.

Third-party services you connect to inside CherryBrew

When you view Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Reddit, or TikTok inside CherryBrew, your phone is connecting directly to Meta, Google, X, Reddit, or TikTok. CherryBrew does not proxy that traffic. Those services collect data about you on their own terms, governed by their own privacy policies:

If you make any in-app purchases, those run through Google Play Billing under Google's terms. CherryBrew receives purchase-verification and entitlement records needed to provide or restore access, but does not receive your payment-card details.

Retention

We keep account, entitlement, purchase-verification, family, support, and diagnostic information for as long as needed to provide access, operate and secure CherryBrew, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Firebase and Google may apply their own retention settings. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline on this page; we will explain any information that must be retained when handling a deletion request.

Your rights

You can:

• Request account and data deletion: use the CherryBrew account and data deletion page for the steps and information to include.
• Stop local data collection: uninstall CherryBrew. This removes local app data and stops new app diagnostics from that installation, but it does not delete the first-party account or cancel a Play subscription.
• If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict processing of, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing or lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Email us to exercise any of these.
• If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. CherryBrew does not sell or share personal information in the legal sense of those terms.

Children

CherryBrew is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA / UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone in those age ranges. If you believe a child has used the app, email us and we'll delete any data associated with that installation.

International transfers

Firebase is operated by Google LLC, headquartered in the United States, with data centers worldwide. If you use CherryBrew outside the United States, your diagnostic data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under Google's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll surface a notice inside the app on next launch.
